Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist, is also an author. She was co-founder of The Huffington Post, is the chief executive officer and co-founder of Thrive Global as well an author of fifteen novels. Arianna Huffington has been a TV host, journalist writer, philanthropist, and philanthropist for over ten years. She also is the owner of The Huffington Post, an free-of-cost online news magazine. Her move to Greece to England at the age of 16 and received an MA in Economics from Cambridge University in Economics. The infamous debating society The Cambridge Union was her first time as president, and she held it before the age of 21. Then she became an author for a conservative newspaper after graduation and, with The Huffington Post launched a year following, she launched an online platform to voice opinions which offered critiques of the political landscape. Her fame led to the recruitment of a variety of renowned contributors. Arianna's fame started in 2003, after she declared herself an independent candidate for the California recall vote to replace the then governor Davis. Arianna was also part of a Detroit-based project that promoted fuel-efficient automobiles. Forbes listed her as one of the "most powerful women" in the media industry with her ranking at the 12th spot. Guardian placed her on their list of 100 most important media figures in 2009. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post, and she was named the president of this group. The acquisition included a number of AOL properties at that time, including Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Elli was born to Konstantinos Stasinopoulos as well as Elli, who are both journalist and management consultants. Even though she was close with her father, the relationship she had to her mom shaped the rest of her life. She displayed leadership qualities even in her early years. When she was in her 16th year she travelled to England for a degree and attended Girton College Cambridge. While in college she joined the debating Society Cambridge Union where she became the first foreign and third female president. In 1972, she graduated with an MA in Economics. After her graduation she worked as a journalist-critic and TV host. In addition, she appeared alongside Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started writing books using the editorial services of Bernard Levin.
