April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball player in the US She is one of a small group of women who have won medals in more than one Olympics. Alix Klineman is the newest Olympian and will join her in Tokyo. Ross's goal is to win her first Olympic Gold. As she turns 39, it could be Ross' last chance to take home the gold medal at an Olympics. Her optimism is that she can achieve top honors. Ross on NBC Boston, said that If the team is performing well or at all it could be able to win gold. In addition, I'll try the opportunity to try my chances. Ross was born in Costa Mesa, California in 1982. Her parents as well as her sister resided in the area. Apart from playing in numerous sports, Ross was also a student at Newport Harbor High School. She played basketball and ran track in addition to her indoor volleyball achievements in her time as a college athlete. However, she was a standout during this game. In her time at high school, she played middle blocker, outside setter and hitter on the volleyball court, according to her bio at the college. She was named the Gatorade National Circle of Champions Player of the year in 1999, for her performance. Also, she won the 2000 Orange County Athlete of the year award for volleyball. Ross and Klineman are performing their roles in 2017. But, Ross was an important player on the beach volleyball circuit before joining the duo. The American has been a major winner in tournaments twice with different partners. A couple of those is an icon of the volleyball world. Jennifer Kessy coached her from 2007 to 2013. Kessy and Ross were strong on the international circuit, winning the world championship in 2009 with each other. They went through to take home a silver medal in the 2012 Olympic Games at London. The legendary Misty Maytreanor team as well as Kerri Jennings won the gold. Ross became Walsh Jennings new partner after May-Treanor's resignation. Together, they won beach volleyball bronze for the Rio Olympics in the year 2016. After high school and several years prior to hitting the sand as a pro Ross balled out for the USC Trojans as a collegiate. Ross's time in the Trojans was impressive. The year 2000 was her freshman year. earned her the Pac-10 and NCAA Freshman's of award and become an All-American. She was also a key player to help the Trojans to make it to their way to the Final Four. The Trojans suffered a significant personal loss during her sophomore year, yet was successful in achieving the All-American award. Over her final 2 years in the Trojans program, she guided them to a national title every time. The achievements of each individual have established her place as a legendary volleyball player. She was awarded the Honda Sports Award 2003-04 for the nation's best female collegiate player. Ross, a USC international relations student, was a star in volleyball. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, did not have the chance to watch her daughter grow into the beach volleyball's biggest star. Ross's mother Margie died in 2001, when Ross was in the midst of being a USC sophomore. The cancer was diagnosed as breast. But, she will always keep her mother's memory close and close. Margie is a constant source of inspiration for her on and off the beach.
