Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin (born Winnipeg, raised in Wellington) is the name of a Canadian actor from Canada. Paquin was born in Winnipeg and grew up in Wellington and made her debut as Flora McGrath when she played the character of Flora McGrath in The Piano. She won an Academy Award at the age of 11 for Best Supporting Actress. Paquin appeared as Jane Eyre's title character as a teenager in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (2000) as well as the lead role of Jane Eyre in Fly Away Home (2000). Paquin played Frankie Addams, a character in Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding in 1997. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad in 1997 her character was the Spanish queen in a lesser part. She played teens as teens in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (1998), A Walk on the Moon (1998) and Almost Famous (2000). In addition, she portrayed the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa.
