King Von was in fact Dayvon Daquan Bennett. He was born in Chicago on the 9th of August 1994, and was the son of Walter and Taesha. His mother was a single parent. He had three siblings, while from his father , he had six half-siblings. His father spent a lot of time locked up in jail, so Bennett was mostly raised by his mother. His father was killed and taken to the hospital when Bennett was only 11. Bennett was 16 at the time he was in jail for the first time. This was only the beginning of many run-ins in the face of the law. After his release, Bennett received college credit from South Suburban College, South Holland, Illinois. Then, after more legal challenges, Bennett tried to make a comeback and pursue his musical career. The band often collaborated along with Lil Durk. A posthumous album, "What It Means to be King" is due out in March 2022.
