Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone (pronounced [di:pIka p@dUko:ne":" or "pa:dUko:n]; born 5 January 1986) is an Indian actress that is mostly in Hindi film productions. It is among the highest-paid actresses in India with her accomplishments that comprise the three Filmfare Awards. She is featured in the lists for the country's most renowned celebrities; Time named her one of the top 100 influential people in the world in 2018 and awarded her the TIME100 Impact Award in 2022. Padukone is the daughter the player of badminton Prakash Padukone, was born in Copenhagen and educated in Bangalore. As a teenager Padukone played badminton in competitions at national level. She later quit this sport for a career as a fashion stylist. In the next few years, she started getting offers to appear in films and her first acting job was playing Aishwarya, the Kannada protagonist. Padukone then played a dual character alongside Shah Rukh Khan in her debut Bollywood release, the romance Om Shanti Om (2007), which won her the Filmfare Award for Best Female debut. Padukone received praise by critics for her portrayal as the lead actress in Love Aaj Kal, but she suffered a brief loss.
